By accessing or using Docsphere (operated by Docsphere Solutions), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Docsphere is an AI-powered academic research platform that provides tools including article search, PDF chat, AI writing assistance, citation generation, and related research modules. Access to certain features requires purchasing credits. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. Account Registration

To use Docsphere you must create an account. By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • All information you provide is accurate and up-to-date.
  • You will maintain the security of your account credentials.
  • You will not create more than one account per person.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Credits & Payments

Many Docsphere features are powered by a credit system. Please note:

  • Credits are purchased through KiteGateway and are non-refundable once consumed.
  • Credits do not expire — they remain in your account until used.
  • The credit cost for each action is displayed before you confirm use.
  • Docsphere reserves the right to adjust credit costs. We will provide reasonable notice of any pricing changes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Docsphere only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Abuse, overload, or attempt to compromise the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape or systematically extract data from the service.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models.
  • Resell or redistribute AI-generated outputs as your own standalone product or service.
  • Use Docsphere for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.

Academic integrity: AI-generated outputs are tools to assist your research and writing — not a substitute for original thought or effort. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content and for complying with the academic integrity policies of your institution.

6. AI-Generated Content

Outputs generated by Docsphere’s AI features are produced by large language models and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You should always independently verify critical information before relying on it. Docsphere is not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content. All AI outputs are provided for informational and research assistance purposes only.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Docsphere (such as PDFs or documents). By uploading content, you grant Docsphere a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the requested service features to you. Docsphere’s platform, user interface, branding, and underlying AI models remain the exclusive property of Docsphere Solutions.

8. Privacy

Your use of Docsphere is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand our data practices.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in cases of serious or repeated violations. You may delete your own account at any time from your account Settings page.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of any content or AI output.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Docsphere Solutions’ total liability arising from or relating to your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Docsphere in the 30 days immediately preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Docsphere after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
